This week we learned all about ME and the importance of celebrating our differences! The children drew self portraits and talked about all their favorites: attributes, friends, animals, colors and even their favorite foods. We discussed how awesome it is to know that there are no two of us alike...GOD made each one of us special and unique. Here are Makenna and Zaylee blowing bubbles while we explored the differences between bubbles...and the differences between us!

Groundhog Day!

The students made table-top Groundhogs, (which they were CONVINCED looked like baby bears...maybe I need a new printable?!), and learned this little poem:

Groundhog Poem
I'm a little groundhog,
I've been sleeping like a log!
Will Spring be here in 6 more weeks?
We will know after I take a quick peek!
I saw my shadow, it is true.
I can hardly wait for Winter to be through!

Oh how true! We welcomed some new students this month and have been blessed with many more smiles! We have been working very hard on name writing, and have learned two new sounds! LLLLLL and MMMMMM! Here are their 'Marshmallow Mmmms.'
